Admission Procedure
It is the administrative procedure by means of which a student requests to enter a degree from which EIU offers, being previously a student or not of our university.
When should it be requested?
In general, once the secondary courses that give access to the university have been completed, such as the 4-Year High Schools, Senior High Schools or the Combined Junior-Senior High Schools. The applicant must submit the application within the deadlines established by the Admissions Service of the University.
Application for admission period (generally)
• Winter pre-registration:
2-January-2016 to 31-March-2016
• Spring pre-registration:
1-April-2016 to 31-June-2016
• Summer pre-registration:
1-July-2016 to 31-September-2016
• Fall pre-registration:
1-October-2016 to 31-December-2016
Access requirement
Students from any university district who meet the following requirements may apply for admission:
• Be in possession of the bachelor’s degree and have passed the entrance exam to the university.
• To be in possession of the title of Superior Technician of Professional Training, Artistic Teaching or of Superior Sports Technician or equivalent.
• Have passed the entrance exam to the university for over 25 years.
• More than 40 years of professional experience, without qualifications that give access through other channels. It will be requested in writing to the Rector of the EIU. In this writing the professional experience will be valued, always demonstrable.
• Proof of access to people over 45 without professional experience
• University graduates (graduates, licensees, graduates, engineers, technical engineers, architects and technical architects)
• Student coming from educational systems of the European Union or from other States with which international agreements have been signed.
• Students who have completed foreign partial university studies, being an indispensable requirement that the corresponding university has recognized them at least 30 credits.

Documentation to Submit
It is essential that the applicant submit all the necessary documentation for the application for admission, without exceptions being established in their quantity or form of presentation.
For Bachelor's degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Psychology: Passport and Identity Document, Carnet Size Photograph, Official Medical Certificate.

How to know if I have been admitted?
Admitted students will receive a password to enter the virtual campus of EIU, where they can find their personal area of work.
For online and blended modalities, the information will be transmitted directly from the portal. For the classroom modality of the studies, the virtual campus fulfills a function of supporting activities, developing them live.
Reserve seats
The purpose of the reservation of the place is to guarantee the student a place in EIU, this income being understood to guarantee occupying this position. Therefore, if this place is renounced, the amount paid for this concept will not be refundable. The reservation of a general nature will be USD 2,000, with the exception of the degree in Medicine, which will be USD 3,000.
FACTORS THAT ARE CONSIDERED FOR THE ADMISSION OF STUDENTS FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES IN THE EIU (TRANSFER OF STUDENTS)
The Admissions Board carefully reviews each admission application. These are the factors that we consider:
Your academic performance in other universities.
This is our best indicator of what you are going to do in the EIU. The most competitive students who request a transfer are those who excelled in the curriculum developed at other universities. On average, the transfer of students who are admitted obtained an average of 3.5 weighted or higher in the university courses.
His academic performance in Secondary studies.
Although the achievements obtained in the university have priority, we also take into account the merits of the secondary school. In general, admitted transfer students had grades of B +, 7.5 / 10 or higher in high school courses. Explore the different access routes for high school students
Other personal requirements
We like to see what he has done outside of class: his activities both in the university and in his community, and jobs. We look for activities in which your experiences or interests coincide with the opportunities available in EIU. Special skills, talents and achievements are also considered important in our review process.
Your Essay request
This is an important part of your application, as it shows what you think and the clarity with which the student expresses himself. It is important for EIU that we know their history. What have been your academic trajectories up to this moment? Why do you want to request a transfer to EIU? What are your expectations? Send us your concerns and this will help us to better understand what sets you apart from other applicants. Any request that may be considered plagiarism or not written by the applicant will mean an immediate withdrawal of the application
